I have a small B-7100 that won't start. I got a new battery for it and used it then a week later went to turn the switch and the glow plugs showed they were working but when I tried to start it, nothing. It did kind of sound like a switch maybe went out but after that, nothing. I won't even turn over. It's like there is no electric getting to the starter. is there a switch on the dash that could have maybe gotten shorted out?

check the clutch safety switch - jump across and see if any difference

Did you clean the clamps on the end of the battery cables when you put in the new battery?

I checked clutch safety switch and it seems to be working
ok.....how do you know it is working? Ohm meter?

On the starter (solenoid top), there is a hot lead from the battery - check voltage there, check to see if you have voltage at that lug with key turned.

look at this wiring schematic and see if this helps you at all.

My father in-law has been using my 7100 all summer and he had a similar thing happen to him. If I remember correctly, one wire got disconnected somehow off of the starter, a small plug in style. I don't know if that's any help but check it out.
