B7100 won't start ran out of fuel

Hello...what a dumb thing I did by not checking fuel.
I think the grass was so thick it used more fuel than before.
craked open lines to release air and nothing.
any comments?

Lines or injectors? You can usually open the injectors and crank until you see spray from at least half of them. Most diesels will start with half the cylinders running. Eventually all will fire up.

On one of the older mechanical pumps of a CAT engine, had to bleed the pumps at the top to get fuel in them from the lift pump.

Just did the same thing a month ago on the same model tractor, ended up replacing the fuel filter to get the fuel flow back, filter had taken gunk from the tank in it, open up the bleeders and work your way down, it took me a good 20 minutes to get mine to fire up, and 2 tanks of fuel to finally to run right, sounded like I had a miss, must have plugged up an injector, running as good as before.

Good thought Big K.

Yeah, tanks dump all their gunk into the filter when they go dry... had that happen too, but in the fuel separator of my old iron ORANGE tractor.

Got it thanks.
Craked injector lines and air vent on the pump.
Fuel filter clean...good maintnance on my behalf.
After several attemps and air bubles gone she started.
Purring....
