hi dave, have you been looking at ebay by anychance.
I think they are, same part no's for bonnet and side covers, but if you are looking at what i think you are, they are not as good as the pics show, great if yours are totally shot.
i was looking at taking the whole lot but after a good close look changed my mind.

Yep ebay and I thought his parts were chepish. Iv'e just looked at the sides on my other B7100 and it got a cut out for the oil filter which the 6100 hasn't.
I contacted the seller with a view to taking most of his parts but he uses parcel force and won't combine postage.he lives on the eastern side of the M25 which is too far and too much hassel for me.

cheers

Yes i noticed that aswell about the oil filter, there is a hole on his but much smaller.
I know where he is based and its a real pain to get to 99% of the time due to the M25 allways snarled up there, he's only 57mins according to sat nav from me, but in real terms driving on the section it's going to be twice that minimum.

To be honest dave, i was looking to take all of it also, but after a good look at the pics close up, i kept thinking, were the bits going to be any better than what i had and wanted to replace, or any less worn out, would i just be buying more wornout kit with all the problems that go with it.
really a tough call.

yes i know what you are saying dave, mines like yours. in the owners manual it shows the 6100 type cover and states for 6100/7100 .
I think it fit the same as ours but it just covers the front of the filter cart, sqaures the cover a bit rather than leaving the filter cart exposed i supose.

I guess I only wanted the side covers which my first b7100 did not have, just to make it more complete in case i sell it.
My second one had side covers, and what was the first thing i did?remove them so I could get at the engine more easily! the bonnet on that one though is pretty crap and if the seller would have shipped,I would probably have had it.

yes , sounds like a plan, shame about the distance etc.
When i looked into the subject of 6100 & 7100 compatabilty, on the surface a lot looks the same, but there are a lot parts that are different, not much, but just small and sutle differences, its not until you start looking at part numbers and comparing parts more closely that you see them.
