B7100d, right rear wheel hub is wore out. I plan on having this unit for some time, until it dies. Should I pony up the money for the eBay hub, or run an oversize pin in the hole to take up the slack. Other than cringing wheel wobble😬, everything else is ok.

The hubs on ebay are expensive, but definitely the best option.

Fixed both of mine when I first bought my 1980 B7100. Bought 4 of those large barrel nuts and hacksawed them in half, drilled the threads out in 1 half of each set. Enlarged the slot in the hubs and welded the barrel nuts to the hub. Insert the bolts through the drilled out piece and tighten. Drilled out the hole for the pin and used a grade 8 bolt and locking nut. Not pretty but has held up well for a few years now. Cant attach a pic for some reason but search the archives for Piker and you can find it.

Bite the bullet, I did. I picked up 2 off ebay last month and they are of much better construction than the stock hubs.

Well, I mended it till the winter, hopefully. G8 bolt, 7/16 x 4.5", double lock nut, loc-tite. Hope this lasts a while, but man, makes the left noticeable. Will replace both this winter for sure, but will monitor that fix to see what happens. Cost me $1.06 at the local hardware shop. Thanks for the opinions.

Hodge--loves those stabilizers, makes hookup a cinch.
