B7100 or B1750

I have 2 newer style b7100 HST one with loader and one as a mower. Always loved the 7100. I picked up a B1750 and so far really kinda liking it a little more. Basically it seems like a 7100 with a few upgrades such as power steering, few more horsepower, and an actual water pump and weighs a few more pounds. So I'm thinking of selling both of the 7100 and find another 1750 to replace them. Any reason I shouldn't do that other than the 7100 is just an awesome machine?

I was in a similar situation and upgraded to a b7200. The 7100 is just too small for me in terms of comfort and power.

I have a B1750HST, bought new in 1993. Mine has PS and Bi-Speed turn.

I use mine with 60" MMM to mow lawn and sometimes to plow snow with rear blade and F and R chains.

Interesting dilemma !

My first Kubota is a very late production, late model B7100. When I knew I needed a larger tractor for working my land purchase I briefly mentioned to the salesman I had a "nice" B7100 with about 1100 hours, (at the time) and if it had any trade in value on the L2501 HST I was pricing. He surprised me, after all it was 23 or 24 years old, and was very interested in having it for sale on his lot after showing him a few pictures of it.

I decided to keep it and very glad I did. I can say the perceived quality of build on that little tractor is much higher than the L2501. The way the 3 point lever, range and 4 wheel drive selectors feel in comparison to the L2501 as just one example.

As to your dilemma, I think I would try and keep the nicest of your 2 B7100's and sell the other and look for another B1750.

From looking at your equipment list it is obvious that you love the Kubota's
It could be the start of a very cool vintage Kubota tractor collection!

Does your B1750 have a loader and if not, would the next one if you do go that route have a loader?

Haha I'm bad about buying Kubotas. Have several parts tractors too not listed. Just a fan of old B series. Yes the one 1750 has a loader on it. I seem to have an obsession of all tractors need a loader except the ones I mow grass with. I used to mow with my 7100 but we planted lots of trees and needed something with power steering so I bought the bx. It's ok but I'd really rather use my 7100. My original plan was to put power steering on both 7100 but too many projects on the plate as it is. I may just keep the 7100 with the loader cause that one will be hard to part with. Who knows really shop is so full of tractors I need another shop just to work out of haha. I guess I was really just getting opinions from people who have had both 7100 and 1750 if they still thought the 7100 was a better tractor

It is nice to have two machines of the same model. You can usually swap parts if you're in a pinch. Same goes for the wheels.

Return spring on hydro pedal fatigued and failed about 3 years ago, added tubes to front tires about 15 years ago after tires would no longer hold air tubeless, and recently replaced belleville washers on lift lever after lever would no longer maintain position. That's it in about 30 years.

Still has all original belts, hoses, fuses, etc.

Yes, it is kept inside, gets excellent maintenance, and is not abused.

I like to keep things original too, but you should definately change your belt and fuel hoses. I bet if you went to pinch them you'll find they are hard as a rock.
