I am dealing with a total fluid loss during operation of the Hydraulic system. I noticed directly under the pump fluid dumping out. I am wondering how to remove the pump or gain vision on the area to inspect. Ideas?

The fluid found its way out under the frame approximately under the seat of the tractor. I am assuming as fly by night mechanic that it is at the HST not the pump as the pump is located at the engine?!?

It would probably be best if you were to post a picture.

You may have to get over 5 posts before you can attach a photo.

If you want to post a video you have to post it somewhere else (like YouTube) and put a link here.

It could still be the hydraulic system and not the HST as the hydraulic pump does feed the controls back there and the three point cylinder.

I suggest that it could also be the transmission vent being clogged and pressure buildup causing it to leak.

I think you should clean it well and the see if you can see more exactly where the leak is starting from.

What do you mean by "during operation of the hydraulic system"? Do you mean it only leaks when you actuate the 3 point hitch lift control (or other hydraulic attachment)? Or when you try to drive forward/backward?
