I am dealing with a total fluid loss during operation of the Hydraulic system. I noticed directly under the pump fluid dumping out. I am wondering how to remove the pump or gain vision on the area to inspect. Ideas?
It could still be the hydraulic system and not the HST as the hydraulic pump does feed the controls back there and the three point cylinder. The fluid found its way out under the frame approximately under the seat of the tractor. I am assuming as fly by night mechanic that it is at the HST not the pump as the pump is located at the engine?!?
What do you mean by "during operation of the hydraulic system"? Do you mean it only leaks when you actuate the 3 point hitch lift control (or other hydraulic attachment)? Or when you try to drive forward/backward?I am dealing with a total fluid loss during operation of the Hydraulic system. I noticed directly under the pump fluid dumping out. Are you sure it's not leaking from one of the oil lines that hook into the HST filter bracket. I have a L3301 that is leaking from all three of the ports where the lines connect, 2 on the filter housing and one where it goes into the transmission. It started leaking for no reason while I was bush hogging the other day. I can't see any damage to any of the lines but it is strange it would just start leaking there for no reason.I was mowing grass and the tractor stopped moving. Not running. Just moving. I looked down and under the tractor. On top of the mower deck. Was filled with hydro oil.
I stopped the tractor and could see the dripping coming down from the point of the tractor that separates next to the hydro oil filter.
now I have split the tractor and can see no obvious signs of damage or other. The hose to the rear that follows to the pump body is fine. Only thing I can remotely tell is the gasket on the rear axel to the hydro gear box may need to be replaced. But was intact. I opened the hydro gear box to inspect and all gaskets look good. I don’t want to put it all back to do this again. Any thoughts?
The B7100's have no such configuration. Are you sure it's not leaking from one of the oil lines that hook into the HST filter bracket. Have you cut open the filter?I was mowing grass and the tractor stopped moving. Not running. Just moving. I looked down and under the tractor. On top of the mower deck. Was filled with hydro oil.
