As the new owner of a B7100 hst 4x4 I’m trying to work out the kinks. Just noticed the front driveshaft was hanging because the front output shaft is sheared off at the roll pin hole. It is believed to be a 1991. Could anyone pinpoint me to a correct part number? And would the transmission have to be split apart to replace that shaft? It’s hard to decipher between new or old style when looking at these manuals. Thanks in advance

Which shaft is broken? The external shaft going to the front axle or the internal shaft coming out of the transmission? The external shaft can be replaced without a split but not the internal one.

The splined shaft coming out of the transmission that the driveshaft yoke slides onto

Anyone have experience replacing that shaft or taking apart the hst in general?
I don't have any hands on experience but I do have the WSM for the B7200 HST. It's a little skimpy on details but unlike the gear drive it looks like that shaft comes out very early in the disassembly and does not appear to be super complicated. Things would likely be more understandable if I had the unit in front of m but looking at the WSM I think I would rather do it on an HST than a gear drive. I can send you scans of the 3 pages from the WSM. Best I can tell from the writeup you will have to split the tractor to get access to the front and rear of the unit.

That would be awesome.
Thank you!
