B7100 Front tires - replacements?

This story is old as the B7100's!

My new to me B7100 seems to have a problem with a front tire that has great tread - but has more cracks on the sidewall than a broken piece of glass! Found the leaksss with soap and water .... no nails, or otherwise - just leaks.

Seems the cold weather and me not using it as I did in the summer has helped it go flat over a couple of days over and over.

I can and might buy tubes - and that would solve the problem.......... but

All of those that have B7100's have a hellva time finding the ol' 20.5x8.00-10 tires..... and yes I know that 20x8-10 will work too, I did a little search and look what popped up

Thread is no better or worse that the orginal turfs.

I measured my fronts fully inflated - got close to 64" in RC - the specs on these say DIAMETER at 520 MM..... which when run through the ol Google and calculator come to 64.3" - so that is spot on!

Thoughts on these tires?

I installed 20.5x8-10 Kenda K513 turf tires on my Kubota B7300 as replacements for the OEM 21x8-10 Firestone Turf and Field tires. They are very good tires and have the same rolling circumference as the OEM’s.

The Kenda K513 looks like good match.
My B7200 original tires were 20.5 x 8-10. The only tires that I could find up here in Canada are the Carlisle 511111 Turf Saver 20x8-10. They have an appropriate outside diameter and are 4ply with a good load rating. I just got a set and put Kevlar liners and tubes in them. Lots of hawthorn thorns.

I just got mine on the other day - they seem to have a "flatter" stance. What I mean by that is the OEM tire rounded over on top and bottom, thus the contact patch was not as wide. When I would run over a some water, the center of the tire would be dry while on pavement much faster than the edges. And no I don't have too much air in them.
Then new ones seem to be flatter across the section. The only time I have used the B7100 was on a very, very wet day - and it seemed to grip well. It will be hard to tell until I start cutting grass - that may be a while too.
So far for the cost - seems to be a good tire - time will tell however.

Max load is 1100 lbs. Less than the Carlisle AT2 (1190) but the same as the Kenda Loadstar trailer tire with similar tread blocks. I like the looks of the tread siping on the Loadstar, but your Max Auto brand are about $40 cheaper for the pair.

For comparison, the Kenda K513 is a true turf tire tread, but only 900lbs load capacity in our size. And considerably more expensive.

If you don't have a FEL, the load capacity probably doesn't really matter as much. I have the AT2s and noticed sidewall cracking starting somewhat prematurely, which I attribute to the FEL. The Kenda K378 is available in a 10 ply, with a whopping 1760lb capacity, but a really aggressive, almost ag style, tread.

The 900 pound load capacity of the Kenda K513 is within 5% of the OEM tire and more than 25% higher than the maximum possible weight that would ever be on the front tires of a B7100 thru 7300 tractor. Installing a tire load rated significantly higher than the OEM tire rating is not a good thing to do. I’ve put two years and over 75 hours of some heafty FEL work and winter snow blowing on my K513’s and they’ve performed flawlessly.

I am glad this tread was started! i Have put off ordering tires for the front of my B7100 due to the 20 x8-10 trailer tires that were installed before I purchased it. Worked but had pre mature sidewall cracking and less than great traction.
today I ordered a set of K513’s in the proper size.
Can anyone tell me how hard these will be to install and inflate if I decide to do it myself? I do have a set of 10 inch tire irons.

today I ordered a set of K513’s in the proper size.
Can anyone tell me how hard these will be to install and inflate if I decide to do it myself? I do have a set of 10 inch tire irons.

Trying to break the bead to get the old tire off the wheel was a huge pain in the ass without the proper tools. I took my wheels with old tires to a local car shop/tire dealer and they gave me back my old wheels so I could clean and paint them. Then took them the new tires to mount. They only charged me $15 so I bought the shop a couple pizzas. I appreciated not having to struggle through doing it and potentially damaging the wheels, especially compared to the small fee charged me.

Tires arrived yesterday, I am very much looking forward to having new front shoes on the B7100.
The trailer tires I have had on since buying the tractor in 2009 are pretty much smooth.

Hello all,

I am so new here that this is my very first post on the topic that brought me to OTT. I just purchased a B7100hst, with factory FEL, rolling on oe tires and am in need of tire recommendations. I had been looking for a set of Ag wheels and tires and am very curious about R4's as an option if I don't simply replace the turfs.
