I have my gear case off and am now attempting to replace it and put the tractor back together. I keep getting oil seeping from the small holes at the bottom of the engine. I think it may be the oil pump passages, any ideas how I stop the seeping so I can get a good seal on my gasket. This is a PITA to do so DO NOT want to do it again any time soon. IE maybe blow air through the passage??

If the motor is not mounted, lean it backwards, if it is mounted, I really wouldn't worry about it, on the gear case use some ultra blue silicone on the case and the gasket and new O-rings and it will seal. ;)

Hello Jim. Where exactly is your gear case leaking oil. You have three O-rings behind the gear case for the oil passages and the gasket for the cover. I would use the Kubota brand gasket sealer. You can hold the O-rings in the cover with the small amount of grease.
Good Luck Lance

Thanks, I bought the black stuff and it is hard to work with. I think Ill try the blue. I haven't pulled the engine yet but hope that isn't going to be necessary.
