B7100 - Disconnecting high pressure line

I have everything disconnected between the front and back of the tractor, except the hydraulic lines. I removed the bolt/filter on my low pressure side of the hydraulics, but it looks like it will be easier to disconnect at the other end as well. How do I go about disconnecting high pressure side of the hydraulic line? I am going to crack open the shop manual, but figured someone here may share some insight.

TIA!

You will need to disconnect it from the pump and the rear, not anything real special about removing it.

So I guess the high pressure side of the line at the front, when unscrewed, bleeds a little like any other drain plug? It won't spray with some kind of incredible pressure I should worry about?

The kind of pressure you are referencing would only happen from a split or pin hole in a hydraulic line under work pressures. Undoing a threaded connector will generally not 'spray' fluid around but it will leak prodigiously until all the pressure comes off of it. Just undo it slowly and once you start seeing leaking, let it depressurize naturally then finish undoing it.

Tractor must be off (duh). Additionally if you are really concerned you can cycle your loader control valve in a circular motion which will release all pressure from the lines and system.

The high pressure line will only have high pressure when it's running not just sitting. ;)

Thanks guys, just never dealt with hydraulics. I actually don't even have the loader. It just has the line coming off the trans to the pump up front on the side of the motor and then the return/pressure line to the rear again. I will let the pressure off when it is barely unscrewed, just wanted to make sure it was safe. After I have that disconnected, I should have her in half!
