If you use the 4x4 /4wd on dry land will you do same damage on system? will the steering be same or? Mine was on all summer and i did not know till i drive it in snow I am new owner

What he said. Usually, if it's binding up you'll feel it bucking & hopping…. not good.

X2. If you were using it on hard surface, you would know it by the binding. If you ignored that, then damage will occure sooner or later.

If it's still turning the front tires in 4 wheel drive without any odd noises, then your probably fine, just check the front axle oil level.
Like everyone is saying blacktop or concrete will harm the 4wd more than anything if you predominantly run it in dirt your fine. I leave mine in 4 wheel drive all the time but then again I'm always on dirt.;)

Mine is almost always in 4wd in dirt, pine needles, mud, or gravel, but I've actually had some binding on a hard packed gravel road with a heavy load in the bucket…. I.E. no slippage. Needles to say, I stop moving immediately & go back to 2wd.
