Hello, Im new here and new to owning a tractor. I noticed that when I push the lever to raise my 3 point hitch there is a squeeling sound just before it engages. Is that normal or I should be worried about it?

You should adjust the fee back rod and see if that helps.

usually the rod is between the tractor and the short upper arm and near the seat position.

usually the noise happens at the top of the lift arm motion and the pressure relief valve is activated.

Its just the way that system is, I wouldn't worry about it unless you get bad operational behavior.

Russell, the feed back on that model is passive not active, all it does is push the lever to the neural position when it reaches the end.

How many models did Kubota do like that? I don’t think I have evper seen a tractor like that but it isn’t like I have seen that many different tractors in my life!

learned that the standard advice is not too standard today. Thank you for clarifying it

If I remember correctly, B6000, B7000, B7001, B7100 were the only models that used that system.
The active feedback system is much better.

I also have an old L210 that has that system.. not that too many people have L210s at this point..

On the ones i have been around (6100s and 7100s) there is an odd behavior that sometimes when first engaging the lift handle it seems to squeal the relief immediately without moving, and you simply release and retry and it works as normal. I have never tried to diagnose it because it is so easy to live with it by just retrying the handle, in practice i probably do it in less than a second of lost time.
