Hi have another problem with my B7000 (circa late 70's) the hydrolics at the rear ( I have the slasher mower attached ATM) are very slow to react. When I push up on the lever the mower deck raises very slowly. I thought it might be low on hydrolic fluid, but I couldn't find any dip stick to check the level. Also does anyone know what type of hydrolic fluid I should you. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

There is a hole on the side of the transmission housing with a plug in it, remove that plug and fill until the oil starts running out of the hole, that will be the proper level, (personally I cheat here, I just fill until I can see the Oil thru the fill hole).

I use regular Tractor Transmission Hydraulic fluid in all of my equipment, I buy it from a local farm supply store.

Your slow raising issue may be due the the knob right under the front of the seat being turned down, that is what the knob is for, to adjust the speed of the lift arms for the 3 point hitch, (basically a flow control valve).

On my Bota I can always tell when it is low because it will lift fine on level ground but when I get on a side slope or face downhill then it will not raise properly.

Best Regards
