Hello Everyone! 1st time Kubota owner and 1st time posting here and I do apologize for it being so long winded. And I apologize if i should have posted this elsewhere on the forum.

I have a Kubota B6200 with a well worn and sloppy B670 hoe:D I bought this from a Kubota/JD dealer who was only the middleman for the seller so asking certain questions was not an option, especially seeing that the guy (who works at dealership) I was dealing with and supposedly the dealership owner didn't even know what make hoe was on the machine! They thought it to be a Frankenstein type hoe from god knows what grafted to the 6200.

They both basically told me they were only selling the tractor and the hoe was just a + in the sale cause they didn't know what make or model it was and it needed quite a bit of work. I will say that the serial tag was missing off it but it was still the same faded Kubota orange paint that matched the tractor perfect!

Anyhow my question is this....

The seat on my 6200 (which I do need to replace also) does not have the right mount as seen in this thread http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5482 that Lil Foot and Morson82 did a while back and I am trying to figure out my options for a flip seat that can be easily used in either the tractor or hoe operating positions as the hoe does not have it's own separate seat from the tractor and I don't believe there is enough room for 2 seats. I kick myself for not having pics to attach but will try and remember to take some.

Because it has the ROPS I am unable to just stand up and operate the hoe as I was originally thinking that was how the old owner used it but when I got on it and tried to stand the ROPS was in the way. I really have no idea how this guy used the hoe??... unless he is 4 foot tall!:p

The ideas I have so far are....

1. Fab up a mount with a swivel type base that can be locked in either position with a pin (smaller pipe inside a bigger pipe welded to a base plate that will attach to the seat and the tractor)

2. Find a used or new Kubota seat base like the one in the thread above as I believe the parts are still available from doing some research.

3. Fab a newer version Kubota flip seat mount onto the B6200 if possible but I have no idea what is available and what one may work best.....hopefully this is where you all can help from all the different models you have owned that you think might work.

I have looked on Ebay but have not seen much or any that will flip from tractor to hoe and I am guessing that is because most hoe's have their own seat separate from the tractor.

Thanks for looking and any suggestions/ideas are welcome!

And also thanks to Lil Foot and Morson82 for the excellent write up on the B670 overhaul...this info will come in hand soon.

First and #1 post some picture so we can figure out what model it is and what is the best route to go with the seats. ;)

Welcome to OTT Dave and thanks for the pics. How well does the tractor run? How many hours?

Thanks Mickeyd!

The tractor itself runs great everything seems to work on it except for the decompression cable (frozen). I don't see any fluid leaks from the tractor either. HST seems good as well.

It says 872hr but I am thinking it's more like 2,872:D I just need to straighten up the exhaust pipe (that what you call it?)

Service Dept Vic,

Thanks for the compliment! She's definitely no beauty queen and has been worked pretty hard! Plenty of slop in the FEL bucket and in many joints on the hoe but hopefully she will hold together long enough for me to do some projects (patio/walk way/driveway/etc,etc) and fix her up a little at the same time.

When the pump for the hoe is running off the rear PTO it's all egg shaped and wobbly but works. When everything on the hoe is curled up and pulled in so the tractor can move around the the hoe will not stay up and it starts dragging the bucket on the ground after a few minuets. The controls for the hoe are also leaking fluid....pretty good from one of the outrigger controls when it is used. I would like to rebuild that whole control block with new O rings and what not but not sure if it's a DIY job for me or not.
