Have a questions guys. The radiator seems to lose and boil water very easy. The manual says the radiator should hold enough water for a days use. Am I to assume nothing is wrong and that is the way it is or do I need a new radiator, cap, or what? The neck on the radiator is partially gone but you can screw the cap on the rest of it. Need some input on what to do.

Thanks,
Eddie

Mine doesn't boil at all even at 109 outside.. I think you need flush the system and maybe replace the radiator.. The caps are cheap.. Replace it...

Yeah I've had my B6100 for 9 years or so and never lost a drop of juice. Like gcat said replace those items and check your hoses coming off the radaitor going to the engine block for leaks.

Your problem is the rotted neck. You need to replace the radiator.

Mine had the same issue on the rotted flange. I took the radiator to a competent shop that cleaned it, brazed a new replacement flange on and gave it a fresh coat of paint. I think it cost me about $75-100 or so. I purchased a correct new Kubota cap for approximately $25-30 and I was back in business with a nice "fresh" radiator. Mine has not used any water for several years.

Agreed regarding the neck being the problem.

You are boiling off the water because the system isn't pressurized.

Have a shop fix it before you accidentally boil it dry and end up needing to replace the engine head to the tune of $1K due to cracks from overheating.

Good luck,

Steve
