I broke a lift arm, ordered a replacement, ended up receiving a "kit" that includes both left and right arms & the shaft, o/p arm. My question is, has anyone in this forum replaced the shaft? The lift arms are fairly straight forward but the shaft, I'm not so sure. Thanks for your help.

hi and welcome to OTT,
Yep it is pretty straight forward, but you'll need to take the lid of the rear axle casing as thelift arm shaft has an external expanding circlip on the shaft that you'll need toremove first before you can slide the shaft out of the lid.
take note of how it comes out , as it is possible to put the shaft coonecting rod back in upside down.
I have a diagram if you need it shown any clearer.

hope thats of some help.

allmost forgot to mention, if you look on the end of the shaft (both ends) , you will see a "dot" mark ,when you come to refit the arms there is a dot on each arm that you use to line up with the shaft, you can then be sure that they are on in the correct position.

Just recieved my upgrade kit on Monday, the difference on the "old style" is that they were bolted when clamping to the spline, the "new style" is that they have a roll pin holding them on the spline, the bolted ones give out in time.

Okay, I asked for the drawing before I saw that you sent it.
I have that drawing, so don't go to the bother of sending it.
It's the removal of the circlip that appears to be the big problem.
I've taken some pics as I haven't been into this part of the tractor before.

Moving ahead. I'll keep this thread updated.

Thanks for the info!
