Bought my adapter to convert to the gauge and found out the broken brass piece that I drilled out was not done right.when I put the new one in it leaked like a sieve .When I tried it the first time was with the loader on and I must not have been straight. There are still some thread left. I tried teflon tape and also tube thread sealer. Does anybody know how I can fix this?

What was the size of the adapter ? Was it BSP? or NPT?
You have to have the right one or you will have some problems

Get a 1/8 BSPT tap and tap the oil hole.
Now if too much of the threads were removed or damaged when the broken fitting was removed you'll have a couple of options.
#1: You will need to tap it out to the next size, be very careful doing that.
#2: You could get a BSPP boss fitting that will seal with an O-ring to the block.

Wolfman I ordered the right fitting but I'm not sure that's what it was. When I put it in the piece went easy at first than half way hard. I still had quite a few threads left to go so I put more pressure. Dumb.
What I was thinking of trying was using blue treadlock to see if it works. I was going to use the red but though better of it. In case I mess up. Its permanent.
If it does work I can always take it apart. The red you need heat and I'm right on top of the harness. Do you think it has a chance of working? If not I will go with the tap. I'm just afraid of getting fillings in the block.

You could try it, you have nothing to lose, if you do tap it just coat the tap with grease and it will catch the cut the few shavings.

I used the blue Loctite thread locker #242. I cleaned it up good with acetone both the male and female. I put Loctite on both male and female and tightened it right down. I then waited one of the longest 24 hours I've ever had.You can't believe the urge to just try it before the time is over. Am very glad I waited. After the time was over I started it and no leaks. I was really leary about the next two options. Thank you for all your help.
