Preface: I have spent about three hours reading posts here including Torch's build and cant seem to find this answer. If I missed the answer somewhere I apologize in advance.

Ok as the title says, I'd like to run my B219 FEL from the pressure from the hydraulic block on the side of the tractor. I bought a B6000 tractor that was junk with a B219 FEL. What I didn't realize was the pump runs the opposite direction on the B6000. Until I get that sorted I've seen a few posts where people have ran them off the side block. Yes I know it will be slower. But a slow loader is better than No loader right? Anyways, my question is, I still have the original control valve for the B219. Part number: 70050-00072 hopefully shown below. Can I simply hook this valve to the block or do I need a new valve with a power beyond outlet? Side question, my valve has BYD stamped on it. But it seems to be above a port that's not tapped. Can I simply tap that port IF BYD is needed?

Of course any front pump replacements or control valve replacements links or part numbers are welcome here. I do have a front spline adapter/shaft/bearing that I believe was for a mower that I don't mind modifying.

Do not alter the valve, it won't do you any good.
You can run the valve you have on the pump, but you risk blowing the seals out of the pump, as there is no pressure relief.
Either get the right pump for the front, or get a new valve with a power beyond adapter and you will have to add a line to the fill on the tractor for the return.

The casting on the valve was never drilled and machined for the PB option. Thats not uncommon. Converting it is a lot more than drill and tap.

Your valve has an inlet pressure relief so you wont blow anything up but I would replace the valve with one meant for PB operation. Use it as a chance/excuse to upgrade to joystick control.

Any recommendations on valves with links or part numbers? Our local tractor supply has one of these in stock:

It's a tandem valve with power beyond (with an extra part I'd have to order) and adjustable pressure. I believe I read these tractors like 800 PSI? Would I have to adjust the valve to that or is that all the tractor makes so that's all it'll have?

Sorry for all the noob questions. I've done some hydraulic repair, but never had to find NEW parts.

TSC is way high. Same valve with joystick for that price.

You need the power beyond sleeve which Summit has in stock. I would also suggest yoi get the float option

Do you use this one? Do you like it? With the PB adapter and float its over $300, which isn't exactly cheaper. But I'm game if its a solid setup.

I also understand I'll need a low pressure return line to the top of the tank. You wouldn't happen to know what fittings i would need for that would you? I'm sure i read it somewhere last night, but I'm also sure it'll take me hours to find again. lol

Also, i just wanted to say thanks for the help!

Here is tge sane vslve but cheaper.

The joystick vslve is more expensive because it has a wsit for it - joystick!!

Your original valve has flost on one spool snd I suggest you buy a new one cc with float.

I have sold kits using Summit's P40 valves and have one on my own tractor. They work fine and I have never had a failure or comeback in 10+ years. There are better valves but at 2x or more the cost

Right on! Thanks for the info buddy. It's in the cart.

Now I just need to find the fitting for the tank return.

Look over your tractor and see if there are any ports that you might be able to use. See the green highlight in this picture. The plug that was there looked like a large bolt head but had a copper sealing washer under the head.

The picture I posted above also shows the oil filler port at the right edge of the picture (painted red). That is often used for the tank return port by putting a tee and adapters there. I recall @TheOldHokie showing a part from some other tractor that fit into that port instead of having to manufacture one or cobble together adapters and pipe tees. But I can’t locate the post.

I know what I show in green highlight was a BSPP 3/8 female port into the tractor. I have no idea what thread is on the filler port but @TheOldHokie may be saying that it is BSPP also?
