B6000 with Two Electrical Systems????

I recently bought another B6000 to play with. I had to disassemble parts of it to get to the head gasket complaint. I found 2 alternators hooked up????Looks to have been this way for along time. I was wonder if it could be original???? Does anybody out there have any information on this??? Not sure. Good place to start is kubotabooks.com. If you go to the site you will see that they have a copy of the service manual and the parts manual for the B6000. If you don't already have copies go download them.

I'm wondering if the part where it hooks to the fan is some sort of block heater scratch that, it doesn't look right for that. Some sort of dynamo set up perhaps. A better pic of what your curious about would help

The dynamo that is on the fan and water housing is original the other alternator is an add on, could be a factory add on not sure.
