B6000 Tires...I know...

I've read tons of posts on several sites everywhere about correct tire sizes. Everyone mentions the ratio importance but no one ever really mentions the correct tire sizes from the factor. The manual says:

Front: 6-12
Rear: 7-16

When people discuss the B6000 tires, people reply with, "is it 4wd?" All B6000's are 4wd. Here is the response Kubota sent me last week:

"This is from the Operator's manual for the model B6000. The B6000 is the 4wd. model. The B6000E is a 2wd. model, and the B6000ET is a 2wd. with turf tires. Your local dealer should be able to look up the part numbers for the rims for your tractor and also give you price and availability. Because of the age of the unit. Some parts may have been discontinued. Your dealer should be able to tell you. The part number for the Operator's manual is 66601-61214. Thank you for contacting Kubota Tractor Corp.."

Then they sent me the page from the Operators Manual. My local Kubota dealer has NO IDEA what tires go on anything.

I guess what Kubota was thinking was that the dealer could look up the part number for the wheels/rim and with that someone could figure out the tires that fit them. If you go to kubotabooks.com and download the Parts Manual for the B6000, you can find the Kubota part numbers for the Wheels and even the part numbers for the Tires.

Sorry not helpful at all. Thanks though. They didn't seem to reach any conclusions either. So I shared what I shared which was from Kubota, not TractorData. There was no question.

You might want to send Kubota a message then. I'm no expert, BUT a Kubota Tech, who works at Kubota, sent me an email with that info while at his desk at Kubota.

PLus, I said "When people discuss the B6000 tires, people reply with, "is it 4wd?" All B6000's are 4wd." Which is correct. A B6000E is a B6000E. A B6000D is a B6000D. A B6000 is a B6000.

I did not say there were not others that were 4wd.

Because, "BUT a Kubota Tech, who works at Kubota, sent me an email with that info while at his desk at Kubota." says something does not necessarily make it true!

There are misprints and misspoken words tossed about all over including the internet. What Wolfman said is the real world correct other versions are less then accurate.

Beware of what you read and hear, including here. (To find the absolute correct answer you would have to personally check out each model. However, you can inquire within the forum and find existing owners of a specific model and check with them.)

Maybe I'm dense, but I didn't understand that statement. Maybe this will clear things up.

Doesn't, sorry. Straight from the website you added the link to:

©2000-2015 - TractorData™. Notice: Every attempt is made to ensure the data listed is accurate. However, differences between sources, incomplete listings, errors, and data entry mistakes do occur. Consult official literature from the manufacturer before attempting any service or repair.

Find it at the very bottom in miniature print on the home page. I'm good if all ya'll are. So to back up to the original point, does everyone concur that the tire sizes I have listed are accurate?

Thanks for all the insight everyone
