So I’ve been scouring the threads on here but couldn’t find anyone who knew about this part.

I recently bought a working B6000 from a neighbor. As I was going through the maintenance, I noticed the air filter had no oil in it. I was about to add some up to the line when I realized it’s missing this piece. I feel like I could make one from plastic but I’m also worried I won’t have the exact dimensions right. If anyone has one, could you please tell me the top diameter, bottom diameter, bottom recess diameter, depth of recess, total height, and number and diameter of holes on the bottom

Well if you don’t get any dimensions I would not worry too much about making it exactly like the original one. I assume since it’s name is damper all it is doing is slowing down the oil movement inside the cup of oil so the air always must pass through some oil.

Good luck!

Thanks. I found this image on one of the other threads. I think you are right. Looks like it does not make a seal with the oil pan as there is a 1/8in gap all around. I guess anything in there that’s close is better than nothing
