Thinking can run wire to new swict then got a regular could wire to that for winterbthen tear apart in spring need it if snowsI would not recommend that.
The glow plug circuit is actually feed two different ways.
First condition is a preheat, it's feed through the glow plug indicator, along with letting you see it heating, it also keeps for over Amping the glow plugs and burning them out.
Second condition is starting, where the glow plugs are feed straight without the glow plug indicator in the circuit.
The stock switch does this for you, fix it and you will be much better off.
Are you sure your not getting power to the glow plugs on the original wiring?sorry was late in bed no glasses spelling sucked could i run hot wire to a switch then to a different incator then to glo plugs am 72 not able to work fast if can do for this winter would do it right in spring only use to keep driveway fixed got one glo plug replaced where fuel lines other 2 not sure maybe have to take manfold.
