B5100 Front Hazard/Marker Light?

Hello all, this is my first thread so I am thankful for any help I receive. (Greetings from Ireland!)

While doing a somewhat restoration on my B5100, I couldn't find any front hazard/marker lights anywhere online, so I decided to leave the original ones in place, they had a few small cracks in the lens, but nothing like original lights, eh?

Anyhow, while my brother was pushing in silage to cattle the other day with the tractor, he accidentally clipped the right hand light on a pallet and broke the plastic lens. The bulb etc. are all still working. I understand that these rectangular lights were fitted to B5100s, B7100s, etc., maybe more models? but they aren't present on every example I see (perhaps a factory option??). The bulb has two filaments, one used as an blinker/hazard and the other used as a marker.

They are two numbers on the lens, (6097R6-7097R7 and STANLEY 041-0020) I have spent several hours searching online, to no avail. I wouldn't mind having to buy a whole new light assembly, if they are available.

If anyone has any info, please shout. I have attached photos of the tractor before the light got damaged, and the state of the lens now.

Can't help with a source, but I have never seen those on any tractor before- maybe it's a european only feature?
Sure looks like someone added some aftermarket lights.

Stanley Electric is a Japanese company that has been making lighting, including vehicle lighting, since the 1920’s or so. Unfortunately that pretty much exhausted my knowledge on the subject. It might not get you anywhere but you could try contacting Stanley:

I am with Lil-foot - they do not look to be original OEM parts - then again things are different across the pond!

I think - rather than hunt down the replacement if at all possible (I looked and could not come up with a the light or OEM number) - it might be easier to replace both with another pair that will serve the same purpose.

Bill, - I actually found it in a manual ...... shocked the sheeeit out of me too!

I doubt these are still made so you may wind up having to replace both lights with something else that covers the area these were mounted to.
Your B5100E is in nice shape...a lot nicer shape than mine but I wouldn't get rid of it for anything, a great little machine perfect for small spaces and plenty of power for the size.

Thanks for all your replies, some great people here. I might try contacting Stanley tonight to see if they can help me.

As you guys say, I might just have to buy similar replacement lights. I have looked at several parts diagrams for the B5100 and B7100 and them lights aren't mentioned anywhere, maybe it is a European thing.

P.S. The tractor doesn't look too bad I agree, take a look at it before i started working on it! Far from perfect now but hopefully protected from rust for a while at least.

Wow...Great job on the restoration.

Since you restored the machine I am assuming that those lights have not been on that new paint for an extended period of time so there is probably no paint fade around the light , So replacing them should be a matter of finding a set of lights that cover any screw and wire holes inside the footprint of the light where it mounts to the hood.

On your before pic is that a rear facing spot light on the left hand side, My B5100E has a spotlight on the right hand side, It has one red marker light on the left hand side of the seat and the spotlight on the right hand side of the seat, I am pretty sure they are original equipment.

I can tell you for sure that the rear spotlight was added just before my uncle bought the tractor second hand. It was mounted on a piece of angle iron welded to the left handrail with a very shaky hand! The bracket is still on the handrail, I just haven't restored the spotlight to fit it yet.

The tractor also has marker/blinkers lights on both sides (attached below)

As for the paint job, I was pleased with the job I did, however I have spotted a few spots on the hood where rust seems to be bubbling the paint, I might respray it in a few years again with some more effort on surface prep....

Thats ok. When I bought my M9 cab way back in 2002 new, it came with a snorkel on the air intake end of the air cleaner that isn't listed anywhere in any domestic parts books. Had to do some digging and turns out the snorkel is a Kubota Artic accessory to keep snow dust out of the air cleaner. How my tractor got one is anyone's guess but I cannot get one for my other M9. Not listed anywhere.

One of the regulars on the TbyNet forum is in Portugal and his tractor ROPS is mid mounted, not behind the seat. Asked him about that and he said that was standard there.

The ball hitch is a car hitch modified with a piece of pipe to be held in by the draw bar pin (not my engineering, but very useful). I can take a photo of it if you want.

We only ever use it with a small car trailer, we lift the link arms up full and never have any issues with it colliding. Having the link arms below the trailer drawbar might suit some trailers better, but you need to be careful not to hit your lift lever back or your tractor will turn into a mechanical bull (ask me how I know!)

**UPDATE**

Went to see the guy who the tractor was bought from originally roughly twenty years ago. He still sells and repairs anything with a small engine, and has many old stock parts on the shelf. Turns out he had a replacement lens on the shelf. €40 later and I had the part in my hand. He was kind enough to ring the local Kubota dealer who said that the lenses and lights are available, but i would presume that they aren't a regularly stocked item.

The OEM part number for the lens (written on the packaging) is 66706-55980. After a Google search it turns out that Messick's have a listing for it, although I'm fairly sure they don't deliver across the pond.....
