First time poster, long time lurker.
My wife and I are closing on a 20 acre property with 700' of asphalt driveway, a couple of outbuildings, and a home. I also have a small lawn care/snow removal company where I could keep a small tractor busy year round. I would expect 60-100 hours a year blowing snow, loader work moving soil, turning compost, using a set of forks, and eventually a grapple for brush. I would also like to get a flail for some rough area mowing.
I have been looking at Kubota and John Deere and the B2650 and 3350 cab tractors have really peaked my interest. When I really think about what I want to do I would really like to get a 3350 for the extra power (especially for snow removal) and for flail/tiller usage. Obviously the issues with regen are well known and none of the local dealers will even sell me one.
Im wondering if anyone knows if an update to the B50 series is in the near future? I have heard a new B3350 motor is in the works and I see the 2601 has an updated loader and tire selections. If an update is close at hand I would probably wait for it, if not it seems like the 2650 is the way to go.
Its amazing to me that JD has not come out with a Cabbed 2032/2038 to compete with the B50 series, but that is another thread in itself.
