b3350 ignition switch

Has anyone ran into the problem of the ignition switch just springs back from off position to start? Doesn't feel like any detents there. Happened all at once. Was working fine, shut off and now nothing. Thought tumblers were stuck, lubed it, still nothing. Ordered new switch and it does the same thing. I've checked all fuses, they are good. Was able to use jumper wires and tractor started. Am I overlooking a relay that isn't locking in? thanks in advance

I am having trouble understanding your description particularly so when you say a new switch acts the same.

There is nothing tied mechanically to the switch as you suspect which would move the position.

I have attached the WSM pages which describe the tests for the main switch.

Please reread your post and see if you have provided the best description.
