Just pulled the trigger on a new B3200, 72" mower and loader.

Reading the owners manuals, to pull the mower deck it says to pull the pins and back over it. It also says if you have a loader to take it off first.

Am I expected to pull the loader every time I want to pull the mower deck?

And I also would like to know if I can pull the mower deck out the side without backing over it... Thanks.

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is maybe they are saying to remove the loader to get rid of excess weight so you dont crush the mower deck flat as a pancake trying to driver over it. And dragging a 6 fot deck sideways out from under it I can't see being a light easy task.

This is one of the reasons I'm not a fan of belley mowers. A 3pth finishing mower or a nice flail mower is SOOOO much faster and easier to unhook and go on about your merry way.

It only takes about 5 minutes to remove or put on the loader - dead easy. Just make sure you do it on concrete or seasoned gravel. I think you stand a really good chance to crush your mower if the FEL stays on.

Hi all - first post!

got a low hour B3200 with FEL & 72" MMM (going to get rid of the MMM and get a 3pt hog) this summer. first tractor and am over the moon with how much i get done compared to humping it manually.

as the snow started in this winter i wanted to remove the MMM to plow with the FEL (eager to try the "float" setting), but didn't want to drive over it with the loader weight, or remove the loader.

i did what someone suggested on another thread and got all the way through to the part where you back up over the mover, but instead used the FEL to lift the front of the machine. 6' of mower slid out easily from the right (not the stepping) side once i turned the front wheels all the way left. make sure mower wheels are on lowest cut setting, and rear links all the way up and attached to link stopper.

this was on a gravel drive, so probably even easier on slab.

can anyone tell me if there is a downside to this method? don't want to damage anything but also didn't want to lose the FEL every time mower came on and off.

ps OTT has been a life saver already with tire valve replacement howto, cold diesel treatment, etc etc.
