Hello,

I have an elderly, though happy, B2710... The seat adjustment lever rod was quite stiff, so I lubed it, and now it smoothly moves for its full path.

That's the good news...

Now, when I sit in the seat, and pull the adjustment lever all the way up, despite my most energetic efforts, I can't move the seat at all. It feels as if it is welded in its current position. Looking beneath the seat, its "rails" appear to not be corroded at all.

Is there something else that I must do to release the seat from its bondage?

Sincere thanks,

LotharK

You might try putting the seat in the up position so that the rails are verticle. Then take some spray lubricant or even WD40 and spray on the rails so it runs between them.
Then take a rubber mallet and tap the seat frame to help loosen it up some. It's probably just frozen from not being moved in a long time.

Good luck.
