I noticed a fluid leak from a silver metal pipe fitting going into what looks like a small pump or motor located above the fuel filter, and to the left of what appears to be the main hydraulic control module / pump. My owners manual doesn't say what this is, but I notice a clear fluid pooled around the compression nut, and what ever it plumbs into. I tried tightening the nut, but it wouldn't budge. Not sure how to proceed to fix this. I was using the front loader today, as well as the field brush mower attachments. Not sure if I strained the system and blew a o-ring, or what. I will try and post a picture if the above description doesn't help.

I'm guessing you are talking about a hydraulic block, or the steering controller, pics may things easier for anyone to respond so they don't wast their time talking about something totally different, as not everyone has your model tractor.

B2710 you willhave to make a total of 5 posts on the forum before the system will allow you to post a picture! Think of something to say...:)

So here is a image of where the fluid is leaking from. Again, not sure if I strained the system with the field mower or front end loader, which both were used this past weekend. Not sure if there is a o-ring on this connection which I might have blown or not. The lock down nut seams tight.

That is your hydraulics pump. You want to be careful working on it because you can make things worse if you don't work carefully and cleanly.
First clean the area with some solvent and wipe it down. Get a proper size open end wrench and hold the fitting that is screwed into the pump. Get another proper sized wrench for the nut on the tubing. Carefully see if it can be tightened. They can be sealed with rubber O rings. If it was loose, tighten it and start the engine. See if it still leaks. If it was not loose then loosen it and see if the fitting that is in the pump is loose. The fitting into the pump will more than likely be sealed with rubber o rings. The orings might need to be replaced.

Go to the Kubota USA web site parts manuals. Look up your tractor model and go to the specific parts area and it gives part numbers as well as blow ups of how it goes together. https://apps.kubotausa.com/illustrated-parts/

I just looked your tractor up and it is the power steering line that is leaking. The hydro pump is split. One side works the power steering and the other works the tractor hydros.

Both fittings seal with O-rings, pull them and replace the O-rings. ;)

Thanks Motorhead & North Idaho Wolfman. I went on the site and got the O-ring part number. The site lists it twice but only shows one instance in the drawing, so I don't know if both connections need it or just the one going into the pump. I will get 2 just in case. Any idea if I will need to drain any fluid reservoir first or with the power off, is this not going to gush out fluid once the nut on the pipe is loosened? Not sure if all the fluid drains into the rear transmission sump or if the lines stay full. Thoughts on this?

You'll have a little come out, but nothing to worry about.

And they list it twice as there are different part #'s for different serial #'s.
Get the P/N 04816-00110. ;)

Kubota parts are almost always (like 99.9% of the time) reverse compatible so a newer part Number will work with older parts.
