So I am new to this forum. I recently bought a nice b2710 kabota with loader. I was told it was a cat 1 hitch. This is not the case it's not 26 inches or the bigger pins. It is definitely a cat 0. But is there a way to upgrade the 3 point hitch with cat 1 hitch? Wondered if arms were just longer with bigger pins? I have several attachments that are cat 1 and want to be able to use with my kabota and my old for 3000. As needed. Thanks. in advance.

IF you think it is a CAT 0 you should see the CAT 1 (so called) on my BX.

The 3PH on my B2910 has worked fine for every CAT 1 implement that I have. IF you have an issue with your implements, maybe you could reverse the PINS so they point inward rather than outward? I have inward pointing pins on some of my implements. Maybe that is why I never noticed what you are experiencing. I never thought to measure and see if the B2910 3PH actually met the CAT1 spec or not.

Just a thought...

You might try seeing if you can get a Pat’s quick hitch or something similar for the lift arms. Whether you can do that or not would depend on the actual dimensions of the lift arms. That would give you the CAT 1 pin diameter and keep you from having to spread the arms past the pins for implements with the bolt on pins. You’d still need them wide enough to hook to the pins but wouldn’t have to spread them past the pins. Pat’s is a bolt on system so you don’t need welding or fabrication skills to install. You might find that causes you to need a longer top link but unless you’re running a hydraulic top link, top links aren’t very expensive.

I was kind of surprised that the lift arms on my 47hp Kubota don’t spread as wide as the arms on the much smaller 9N and they’re just barely wide enough to fit around the older implements we have with the bolted on pins. As best I can gather, the arm spread is limited on the tractors with R4 tires to keep them from having any chance of ever swinging out far enough to hit the wider (as compared to R1) R4’s. I’ve sort of considered turning the pins to the inside on some of the implements but it hasn’t been absolutely necessary (just have to be careful the tractor is well centered on the implement at hookup) and with the brush hog I’d be a bit concerned about binding from interference when lifted all the way due to the hitch configuration on the implement so I haven’t turned them around.

Thanks everyone for the info I called a freind at the kabota dealer he was blown away when I showed him. So he thinks the previous owner may have broken it and mabey replaced with a cheap used cat 0 hitch. So I may buy a kit off amazon tonight to try if the cat 1 hitch kit won't fit well I can return it. What's a couple hundred bucks compared to trying to re configure all my equipment to cat 0 and not be able to put any on my ford 3000 (once I change the water pump etc on the ole beast.)

So I had bought the amazon kit back in December 2020. But hadnt used the 3pt hitch a ton had some issues with it. But I had used it for lighter things. Did several hrs of bush hogging the other day. Tonight was bush hogging again, and it seemed to have a lot of sway got out to see if adjusters had loosened up. Nope... left bottem arm is bent. Damn me for trying to go reasonably priced. The wife isn't going to be happy tonight. Are those arms heat tempered or just molded? Thinking of having a buddy either build me a good set or bend this back and reinforce...
