But so far nobody is talking me out of my upgrade that I want but don't really need!! LOL
I think you have the wrong crowd for that!!:p:p

Honestly - my experience with FEL and snow removal isn't good. Too slow, and handle it too many times.

However, FEL and rear-mount blower might work. But always backing up is a drag.

QA Snow Blade and bucket are an option, too. Lot of guys use rear blades.

Possibilities are endless.............just add $$$$

The BX may do it, but check out the problems with it. Changing fuel filters every 100 hrs is a bitch. The crummy, cheap control on the three point is darn irritating. I'd use the next larger B and a rear blade. A loader is nice at times for other things, but not the main machine attachment for driveway and area snow removal. Instead of a belly mower, a rear mower is much easier to attach and remove than a belly mower.

If you get too much gravel moved with the blade, try reversing it. Sounds stupid, but it is great on lawns and for not big snows on gravel.

I mow 3 acres of lawn with my bx. Not the fastest in the would. Zero turn would be much more efficient., but I don't think I could sell the wife on multi toys. I also blow about 300' of driveways and 400 feet of sidewalk. I use a 50" rear blower and FEL to clean up. I have no complaints. I think if you go bx, you might not find a rear 3 point in 60" (what I would want) with Hp requirements. I've been kind of looking for one as I really am not overly happy with my 60" mmm. It has had a hard life prior to getting installed on my BX. bought my tractor at an auction. 400.hr. Had a new woods fel.

Seems like the rears are heavy and require more Hp. At least for my bx2350.

WOW. I guess I didn't read that very well prior to hitting post. I think hp requirements for a rear 60 finish mower will be hard to meet. Weight of the units are also high if I remember correctly. I will say that my BX does less damage to the turf than my old Scott's riding mower. Not sure why, but the R2 tires and width seem to float better on the wet areas where my old mower would leave black tire marks in the grass(wet lines).

I have a B3200 that I mowed our 2 acres with for 2 years using a 60" rear mount finish mower. I have R4's on the tractor.

As long as the ground was dry and I didn't make any hard turns, there was no damage to the lawn.

I don't think a B series tractor is too big to mow 3 acres with.

I recently purchased a Z turn for mowing. One of the reasons is our spring and fall weather is usually wet and waiting for the yard to dry enough to use the tractor was a challenge. I also want to load the rears for loader work and that would further limit when I could mow with it.

If your ground is solid and you have good drainage, a B series with turf tires should work fine.

I also understand wanting the cab. I maintained 500+ yards of driveway in Montana with a JD 2305.... I used a front blade and a snow blower. I would have loved to have had a cab!

A cab might be an issue around trees. Just something to consider. If you don't have many trees... then maybe a rear finish mower would also be something to consider.

That's great feedback. Thanks!!

My mowing is mostly flat....well it slopes downhill but not horrible and I only have a few trees where I might have to do some trimming for the cab but nothing too bad there either.

I think with the turfs I'd be fine as I don't have any real low spots that get wet and stay wet.

My local dealer is not really being very responsive which sucks. The dealer that's three hours away has been great!!....and cheaper....and they have the tractor in stock in all the various configurations I've asked them about. Even giving me a quote on my trade off the pictures and video I sent them. The local dealer is 15 minutes from my house and had offered to come out and look at mine twice and then not done it for one reason or another. The local dealer also only has one in stock and it has R4s and they'd have order the deck.

I'm pretty sure I'll have it bought by the end of the week unless someone on here comes up with something that really makes me reconsider.

I'm thinking the B2650 with the cab, 72" mmm, loader and turf tires. I already have a rear blade but I'd probably want a bigger one than the one I have.

A good dealer is worth a lot.

A bad dealer is why I have my first Kubota. I live a few miles from a JD dealership that wouldn't give me the time of day.

Good luck on your purchase.

We have just under 3 acres and over 600' of driveway. 2650 is the perfect size. 80% of our property is grass and the 60" MMM does a fine job on it.

I do currently have loaded r4 tires but I do have a set of turfs/wheels on the way. The r4 don't really tear anything up, but I will feel better with the turfs and once I get all my grading work done may sell off the r4.

Ive put 54 hours on my 2650 since picking it up in late December last year. Ive used it, aside from plowing snow, spraying, tilling, firewood assistant, to rebuild my drive. I had 200 tons of crushed asphalt hauled in and it never left me wanting more or less tractor. Very handy, utility sized machine.

You never can get to big!!! it's the check book. I have had over 40 tractors and never had one to big. You may some day get more acres or move on to larger place. Good luck.

Congrats!!!.. You will be required to post photos by Monday evening.......:D
I can do that. I want to get some side by side shots of it next to the JD2305. I've always had...and still do have...the question of how they compare in size side by side. I've seen them both obviously but not at the same time.

40 tractors?? Wow!! Yea one thing always leads to another in the toy/equipment arena. I'll probably need a bigger rear blade now....and probably the quick attach front blade....and my old tractor would fit in my enclosed car hauler but the new one won't because of the cab...so I'll probably need an open trailer at some point...... Then of course there's the need to buy a new house with more land so I can play with my new tractor even more....but then this one may not be big enough to so I might need a bigger tractor again........

See, I told you this is the wrong crowd for that!!

I know it's early, but plan ahead for the snow. Sounds like your drifts can be a challenge. A machine like your 2650 may go through them no-sweat. Other guys here with experience with that model will know better. Chains will be important.

Best wishes, hope you love it as much as I do my BX!!
