B2650 Oil Drain plug size

I have seen a number of requests here and also on other sites trying to determine B2650 (dual) oil drain plug size (threads).

I have a new B2650 with loader, belly mower, and bush hog. Love it; should have gotten a long time ago.

When I do the first oil change I would like to put in some quick drain oil drain plugs. I have these on a number of motors and they are handy and since you never take out no chance to strip threads.

So I would like to have BEFORE I drain oil; but cannot find anywhere what the threads are.

I would be most appreciative if anyone knows the size on the B2650.

get the model with the "N" behind it !! Just add a piece of clear 1/2" tubing....no mess!

replace the factory plug - flip the lever to drain, flip back to close! Kinda $$$ but well worth it!


Amazon has them a little cheaper - getting the right one for the kubota is the trick! I believe it is a M12-1.25 thread.

What I plan to use is a product by Stahlbus USA https://www.stahlbus-us.com/

These fittings work great, no mess as you have a tube on the adapter you insert to open so oil goes straight to catch pan. They are not much taller than stock and no chance of a branch knocking it open like the ones with a lever.

I have on my motorcycle and car.

Maybe I will just order a drain bolt from Kubota and measure. You would think it would be listed. On Yamaha motorcycles the bolt size is part of the part number.

My only concern with these is the lever getting moved going through brush.

there is a "clip" that makes it so IT cannot be opened!

Well, I ordered (as cheap) one of the oil drain plugs for the oil pan for the B2650 (16271-33750). The thread is actually 10MM x 1.25 pitch! Smallest quick drain of any type I found is 12MM x 1.25 Pitch.

So, maybe no quick drain after all! Bummer
