First thing you'll need to do is get 5 posts to upload pictures, it's an anti spam measure. How do you post pictures in here?
Something like that but feel free to post something in someone else's thread. Maybe a couple jokes in The Daily Chuckle, or an answer to someone else's question. So I can’t post pics of the jib crane I fabricated until I have 5 other posts of nonsense before I post something relevant?
Just be glad its no 25 like another forum I participate in...So I can’t post pics of the jib crane I fabricated until I have 5 other posts of nonsense before I post something relevant?
My brother-in-law helped me rig a mast to the FEL on my 2301 to lift beams for my carport. They were about 250 to 350 lbs each, 24 ft. long, 2 of them, the 2301 handled them easily. Also used it to set the 2x3 steel trusses.I have a B2650 with loaded tires and ballast box. Jib crane may be OK to quickly move implements around, don't think tractor is heavy enough to set stuff on a trailer.
I did something similar with a Ford 4000 and loaded tires to lift 32' "room in a rafter" style rafters on 7 1/2' walls (around 250-300# each). The mechanical advantage of the lever requires more counter weight than one realizes. I'll post my pics while we wait for Mr. Yates.
Pre-test with engine block for test weight

Added extruded aluminum to boom for even more lift height (forgot to take photos)
