Hey guys. New to tractors, recently purchased a 2650. Having an issue with the treadle. It doesn’t return to neutral whatsoever, to the point where I almost have to stomp it back to reverse to stop. It’s a real pain when loading thing in my truck as I am bound to smash into the back of my truck at some point lol. Wondering if anyone has had this problem and how it can be resolved
Clean and lube the treadle's linkages and springs/dampers that are under the floor deck. You'll find out while working around under there if there's anything obstructing it or if something is loose or malfunctioning. I spray a coating Fluid Film on the assembly when it's general maintenance/lube time.
I've also had twigs/spruce needles find there way in there.
Operating the pedal fully in both directions, tractor safely parked, braked, engine off of course, while looking at it underneath. Likely the switch/damper assembly is gunged up.
The Fluid film seems to be a good lube for it. No probs really in even bitter cold temps.
Clean, test operation underneath, lube.
