So 2 years ago when I was at my Kubota dealer that I buy a lot of equipment from the owner was having coffee with a development rep directly from Kubota HQ. They called me over introduced him self and his position with Kubota. The owner then told him how many different pieces of Kubota equipment I have bought over the years, the rep then turned with a piece of paper and said write somethings on the compact tractors that could be improved. I was focused on the Lx series I told him( the sound level in the cab, the lunge of the hst pedal when trying to creep at slow speed and said some other stuff as well. I looked at him and said you wanna sell a ton more compact tractors with cabs ? He said yep what else? I told him make it so they will fit in a standard 9x7 door. I tried mine today. Nope it won’t I knew by specs it wouldn’t but still. Why would they raise the roof around the factory work lights ? Haha sorry for the rant but it would be a better seller if they made it fit in a standard door without letting air out of tires or customizing the garage.

I think most home garages have 7 foot doors. The manufactures should know that and make the ROP"s fit with a little extra clearance to avoid any "oh c**p" moments when pulling in.

They are making them to fit the people running them, not your garage door. Unless you are a midget, most people don’t want to have to crawl on their hands and knees to get on and off a tractor because the height of the cab or canopy is too low.

I do understand that but on the lx series they raised the roof around the work lights for no apparent reason I just thought they might have actually changed it on this series especially. Larger L series and utility tractors, consumers either park outside or have an acreage or farm with a shop. The rep was saying the lx was to fit the smaller acreage and large estate. Where some do have shops but most have attached garages. I agree with you, just saying I think they could have sold a ton more cabbed units if they would have considered this and advertised it.

Yes I agree. I know especially with open station you forget that damn thing stick up. At least you can fold them and then they will fit anywhere haha

They need to make the ROPS adjustable up and down. Not unscrew this and that to fold it down. My ROPS is folded about 40 degrees leaning in the pins so I can drive into the garage. Did see someone on this forum cut theirs down. Which some make a shorter top bar to replace the original one. Want it in original form when is sell or trade it in.

yes. That would be a good feature. My cab is about an inch or two from fitting in a standard door I do have a shop to store tractor but not everyone does

Ya not much. My cabbed model there is no chance. I remember when we had our Kubota diesel zero turn with rops I was so impressed how close I could get around stuff looking down, I hooked the satellite dish up top 😡 I was mad but my old man was more when he couldn’t watch the 6 o clock news haha

I measured my B2650HSDC on R4 tires at 83 1/2" above the lamp eyebrow with all of the air let out of the tires. I was just barely able to sneak through my standard 7' garage door opening.

I might be able to get in if I let 20psi out I haven’t tried. I have the lx and r14 tires not sure if there is much difference if at all

I know I have an older shop that I somehow squeeze my combo vac into but if there is a skiff of snow or 2 flys f$$king I’m sure it would hit. If I ever build a garage I’m doing same as you 10ft walls and if I ever build a shop again I’m gonna make an aircraft hanger out of it.
