Hello Dale,When i lift my belly mower should the 3 pt hitch arms be tight? As in no side to side movement. Mine will not move at all until i lower them. I worry they are to tight.
Is that how it should be?
Thanks for the info.
Yes my 3pt is empty but when i raise the mower all the way there is no give in them side to side up or down, i worry that it will put unnecessary stress on the lower link that raise the mower up.Hello Dale,
I have a B2650, so let's talk about the three point stabilizers. They should prevent side to side sway, and keep the implement centered, but there should be some slack. Perhaps it would be a good idea to loosen the stabilizers somewhat and see what happens. Inasmuch as the stabilizers are typically adjusted with the three point implement in the "working" position, things may change as you move the three point hitch up.
Lets see what others say, and good luck with your issue.

Dale,
Are you referring to item numbers 090 and 100 as shown below (right and left lift arms) as being tight? If that is the case, they will be tight with the deck raised. The arms and the associated linkage are carrying the MMM's weight. I would think that they would be very tight with the deck raised. You circled them in your picture, so I assumed that 090 and 100 were in fact what you were referring to. If not, please explain further, and we will see if we can figure it out.

Here is the parts online data base:No i'm referring to the 3 pt itself. Should it have a mark/dent on the arms like in the pic i took?
I just think the dealer has my belly mower hooked up wrong. I have the book to it and it shows a bolt and a stud that the dealer does not even have installed.
I also get grass build up on the front wheel of the mower.
BTW where did you find that diagram?
Thanks for your help!

The grass build up could just be a case of high grass vs low deck. Although the MMM is ground following, you may want to run it somewhat raised in high/wet grass. I am going to get back to you on the "mark on lift arms" issue. I think that I may have a similar mark. I will take a look and get back to you.
thanks for that info as i have the same.I believe the 3
Your 3pt hitch lower links lift your mmm.
That mark/dent on the lower links is normal.
When you raise your mmm to the top, your 3pt hitch lower links will be under pressure.
Very helpful now how did you guys get a pic from it?Here is the parts online data base:

I am not so sure about the same dealer thing. David9723 is from Virginia. I got the pic by using the Windows Snipping Tool to capture the image as a j-peg. This site has a very limited choice of file formats to use to post pics.Very helpful now how did you guys get a pic from it?
Mine is just missing the stud thing after another look. We must have bought our tractors from the same place!

So the stud is missing. Monica Lowinsky claims to have the same problem.
I am not sure what the "stud" is there for, I'll have a look and get back to you.
