First, it seems like the front bracket of the B2601 (non-FEL model) will accept 3 Kubota weights directly and the weight bracket is only required if you want to mount 5.

Does anyone have a picture or two of the nose weights and bracket?

My local sources can't really help much and seem to know less than I do, unfortunately. I am also open to good aftermarket options.

TIA,
Sid

I struggled finding anything Kubota. Ended up ordering three of the 70# JD weights and fabing up a bracket. Bracket doesn't have to come off for FEL and weights just slip on and off bracket (no bolting the weights).

If you were in WA State (westside) I have a weight pack for sale. There are actually SIX weights. 300 Lbs. The package is meant to be used on a John Deere Signature Series.

You might be close enough for these guys to help you out

They sell both the weights and the brackets. They may have to fabricate the bracket for your tractor but you can ask about that.

One other thing you can try is to get the SALESMAN to look for this bracket as a Wholegoods part - don’t ask about it at the parts counter but in sales.

You might call Messicks and see if they can get you a part number for the bracket?

I had looked into the Kubota front weights when I first started mowing with a 60 inch RFM due to the issue of the front wheels not staying on the ground with the loader off and the the mower raised. The weights have a built in tab that bolts to the tractor frame (bolt kit extra). By a fun turn of events the tire dealer installing the beet juice ballast made a mistake and put in the front tires( lord only knows why) but this actually solved the light front end issue so was a win win (free but had to make 2 trips to the dealer) So it is another option.

I am so confused now!

I really don’t think he lives in Oklahoma, Texas ( nor did I even know that place existed). I assumed he is somewhere in Texas along the Oklahoma border which does NOT narrow the location down very much but it is North of Waco!

Just because these are ” in Texas” doesn’t mean it is within driving distance unless you consider a 10 hour drive an easy drive!

I run a 72" RFM so, not really an issue for me with that one except for rare occasions generally but, with my 4' rotary "field" mower, the extra length and leverage causes a lot of of issues.

I am about ~2 hours away from Oklahoma in East Texas. Waco is ~5 hours away depending on traffic.

And yes, El Paso to Beaumont is a bigger drive than crossing several states on the East Coast! El Paso to OKC or even El Paso to Dallas is a big drive for most people.

I have looked at used suitcase weights but, I haven't found any for a tractor like mine. Yes, there are a bunch of weights in the used market but, most are for skid steers and big tractors and won't work without building a custom weight bracket which then ends up costing the same as or more than new factory weights.

Well, that's unfortunate, because any weights can be easily adapted to work.

Yes, wish I had a reason to travel out your way or knew someone that could pick them up and bring them back to Texas for me.

If, by chance that was an option for you, I could assist by meeting them so they could get them. Within reason of course.

Your Kubota dealer CAN provide you front weights to fit your tractor with or without a front weight bracket. Whether they WILL is another matter, as many simply do not want to be bothered. FWIW, Kubota weights are Whole Goods items and must be ordered through Sales, rather than Parts.

That said, aftermarket suppliers, e.g., North States, others, also sell weights to fit your tractor and at a lower price than those sold by Kubota.

North States does not sell directly to consumers so you will need to work through a tractor/implement dealer.

Hint: North States shipping to a dealer is free for orders of $1,000 or more (5-year-old information so threshold may have risen). I always had my helpful and trusted Parts manager, since retired, to hold my small orders until he had a composite order qualifying for free shipment.

I had three sets of front Kubota weights with brackets but sold all with tractors in preparation for a long-distance move. Sorry, no photos remaining.
