Hi all,

Pretty new to all this tractor stuff but I seem to have a hydraulic leak. It seems to drip from somewhere near the middle of the tractor but I think it hits other places and runs before dripping onto the floor. I’ve ordered some more hydraulic oil and a filter but obviously don’t want the lose all the new oil too. The inside dipstick is just hitting the oil so it’s obviously lost a fair bit since I got the tractor or wasn’t full when I bought it.

Is there any known/likely areas where this could be coming from on the B2400 that people have seen before. Laying on the floor and looking up it seems a bit of a maze under there!

Any help much appreciated.

Pete

Give it a good degreasing / deoiling bath, let it dry operate for a short time and use baby powder (talcum powder) to find the leak.;)

There may be an ultraviolet dye and light system that you can use to help identify where the leak started from.

When I had a B2400 I had issues with a line that runs from the back to the front along the right side of the tractor. The line originates from the area under the seat on the right side and there is a banjo fitting that would leak. I replaced mine twice. Check that.

As said...give a good cleaning 1st.

Run it until warm then shut it off.

Place some clean cardboard under the tractor and wait for the drips to show on the cardboard.

Is this a case of seat off and I’ll be able to see it?
