Bought a used B2400 about a year ago. The 3pt system has always seemed tempermental and had to decide if it wanted to raise or not. Now I get no response at all. (No noise, no movement, no nuttin').

If all else fails, read the book. So broke out the service manual and in the troubleshooting section, it suggests that the position control valve needs replaced. Problem is I really don't have $500 to replace that assembly.

Manual doesn't describe how to further disassemble the valve assembly. So it seems I have two options... 1) Hope that the valve is OK and something else is causing the problem. 2) Try to take apart the valve myself and see if I can figure out what's wrong.

Any suggestions?

Sunbury, welcome to OTT! Glad you are here. Regarding your B2400 and its problem, I am not familiar with your model, but in general, have you changed the oil? Changed the filer or cleaned the screen, depending on which it has? A clogged screen or filter is a common cause of the problem you are experiencing. Please let us know more facts.

Added Super UDT but did not change the hydraulic fluid (still looked great). Just found out about the suction screen today (by browsing this site!!!) and will check it tonight after work.
