Title pretty much says it all. I have 1983 b7100 hst. Just bought b6100 w/219 loader , manual tranny. Will it fit my HST b7100?

Thanks to all .

The hst may require a longer subframe. There are extention plates available. I may have a set. Some basic length measurements should verify this or a look in the b219 manual.

I thought I read that the B7100 HST was wider at the bell housing mounts?

ZX is correct the HST is longer. B219 subframe does not bolt to the bell housing. At the front it bolts to the side of the engine. At the rear to the side of the Differential case. It also has some diagonal braces where the towers come up that bolt to the side of the torque tube. (not sure of the proper terminology I am referring to the tunnel that the transmission input shaft runs inside of.)
There also may be some issues with the pump drive on the front of the crankshaft. The earlier model tractors gear drive had a smaller spline on the front of the crankshaft. This proved to be a weak link and the splines wore out to quickly. Some then were provided with a different front pulley and a spline adapter bolted to the pulley which increased the diameter and made it stronger. I think the later model B7100 hst engine had the larger splines integral to the crankshaft.

kubotasam,
Now I am completely baffled with what you said.
Maybe I'm off on what I think but I'm about 50% sure (and falling by the min) the sub-frame of the b219 mount to the side of the bell housing or better know as the Clutch Housing Frame on that model, and not to the motors frame or side of the motor, on the other hand the B1630C's sub-frame does mount up that way.

just to throw a spanner in the works here, sorry but i have tried this combo over here in the uk on our euro spec hst 7100's machines and it wont fit without modification full stop.
will go onto manual spec 7100,s ok, but not hst, and from my knowledge us spec machines are the same at basic chassis levels aswell.

having tried both methods along with numeruos other configurations thats my experience thus far, but hey someone else may have differing info, mine is from hands on messing about.;)

I'd take some more definitive pics, but my tractor is 150 mi from here. These are pics I had showing other things, but they might shed some light on the subject at hand. Mine is a B7100 gear.
I have always been told HSTs were longer, and TractorData seems to confirm that:

B7100D- WB 49.5 in
length 78.75 in

B7100HST- WB 55.1 in
length 83.6 in

I have a early eighties (4 bolt front wheels) B7100 HST. It does not have any mounts on the side of the clutch housing. I was surprised to see the parts diagram that you provided that clearly shows the clutch housing mounts. A quick visit to the Kubota parts website cleared up the confusion. What they list as B7100 HST-D New Type has the side mounts. What they list as B7100-D Old Type does not have the clutch housing mounts(like my tractor).

Thanks for more input, The B7100's are one of Kubota's models that more and more I find out that they vary quite a bit in each production run.

I have a newer 6 bolt front end newer HST-D version.

I'm guessing that that's the reason they changed the loaders on the newer version to the B1630C loader.
