B2100HSE Hyd Lift Problem

My Kubota has an intermittent three point hydraulic problem. Things were working normal while pushing snow for a couple of hours using a 3 pt blade, then no lift... The power steering and hydraulic trans worked fine, but the blade would not go up. I shut the tractor down and checked the hydraulic fluid level, looked for fluid leaks and proper linkage hook up to the position control valve. Every thing looked fine. Started it back up, ran it up to max RPM, nothing ... Drove it back to the pole barn dragging the blade behind me. I shut it down and looked it over again, didn't see anything out of line. Started it and up went the blade, at idle of all things. This AM when I started it the lift worked, but when I got it up to the shop it quit working, shut it down restarted it and the lift worked. I've had the tractor about 2 months, it's a B2100HSE with 420 hrs showing. Who owned it before me only used it with a belly mower. The lift will hold in the up position with a load when the tractor is off. Again, the hyd. steering and trans work fine. The hyd fluid, filter and suction screen all have been changed/cleaned before I bought the tractor. I'm thinking the problem could be trash in the system holding open a relief or control valve some where. If anyone has had this problem or knows what the fix is I'll be ever thankful to hear from you. Thanks y'all, Next2dixie in VA.

The problem with the lift has been the same since my first post. Sometimes it works and sometime it wouldn't. This AM when I fired up the tractor the lift would not go up so I decided to tear into it and see if I could fix it before I took it to a dealer. I pulled the hydraulic cylinder assembly, still in the stuck down position. On the work bench I connected a male milton plug to the 1/4 NPT oil inlet port on the side of the cover. Hooked up my air hose to it and applied about 10 PSI. There was air dumping from the unload port of the position control valve. Moving the position control lever or the feedback arm had no effect nor caused the piston to move. After disconnecting the air I removed the unload plug, spring and poppet from the control valve. The loss of air was caused by the poppet stuck in a partial open position. I cleaned the poppet and the port with carburetor cleaner oiled it and reinstalled the poppet, spring and plug. Applied air pressure and things worked. Reassembled everything and the lift works smooth as silk. As I said I the original post, this tractor was used only for mowing by the previous owner. Someone had welded blocks under the lift arms to keep the mower deck at the proper height instead of using the stop knob for the position control lever. These blocks would make the feedback assemble always try to lower the lift arms by keeping the unload poppet off it's seat. I think over time the poppet got gummed up causing my problem.

Good lord, they welded blocks in there? Now that is just wrong, ya don't do those kinda things to a tractor. Disabling the 3PH is like neutering it, just wrong
