I would try using the plastic spacer. It will either sit in the bore or it wont. What is odd to me, is the fact the plastic spacer wouldn't be between the two o-rings. I'm not challenging the diagram, it just is not how the nylon/Teflon backers are commonly used.

I only know enough to plead ignorance. It is lost on me the engineering regarding the securing of the hydraulic pipe seal on each of its ends. Effectiveness of seal is Totally dependent on the reassembly of HST to front frame of tractor.
I guess the not so fond memory of replacing the rigidly fixed hydraulic metal line on the power steering unit because of it developing hairline cracks. It’s been replaced twice.
I do thank you for your input! I’ll check the ‘depth’ of the bore tomorrow to see if it appears deep enough to accommodate the extra thickness.
