B21 for 20K?

I missed out on buying a L35 ( 24,000$) and an L48 (20,000$) that were for sale locally last fall. L48 is probably too big for my immediate needs but could handle the occasional larger job.

There is a B21 for sale in TX, 94 hours on it and it looks mint. By the time I had it shipped to me in the northeast it would probably be $22,000.00. Is this a crazy price for this tractor?

There is a couple of B21's closer to me in in the $16,000 price range but 500-1200 hours and look more worn out.

I have an immediate need for a small tough machine and the B21 will likely do the trick.

Any place I can find the full spec on these B21's? Anyone know if they have a differential lock on them?

Its hard looking at the nicer older machines because the Kubota dealers are doing 0 percent financing on the new stuff but 35-40 K for new machine is too much for me right now, the fall will be a different story.

That looks way too expensive. Go to tractorhouse.com and benchmark prices from there. You don't mention spec (loader etc.). A low hrs B3200 (30hp) with loader and 72" mower can be pickeed up for around $17k around here.

The machine is mint, On any tractor website the prices on all the b21's range from 15000 to 20000, even for a United Rental beater the ask price is 15,800.

Have looked at Craigslist? I see a lot of Kubota's listed on the New Hampshire and Vermont Craigslist. I haven't checked any of the other New England states. Being able to go see the tractor in person and drive it is worth a lot.

I don't know where you are getting the 30-40K price of a new one - maybe new and BIG? A new small L with a loader will be about $20K. Most large B's will be about the same, or a bit less, at your local dealer, again with loader. If you are going to spend that much $$, go new. You can usually work a pretty good package deal with an implement or two as well in that price.

Well the current model of the B21, the B26TLB has a list price of $36,245.00 It does not have to be bigger to be that expensive, just newer.

These are construction models, a little different from the more normal tractors we deal with on a regular basis. The biggest thing I like about them is the much improved rops, with a set of front bars to keep loads from rolling backwards and injuring/killing the driver.

$19,850 is too much for this B21 ???,

If I bought a new machine it would have to be a larger machine than this B21. Just going to the Kubota website and pricing up a new TLB - the B26 ( 26 hp) or L 39 ( 37 hp) will easily put me in the 38000-48000$ range.

Of course with the new machines once you get going with the add on's like additional hydraulics and extended warranties it adds up ....and fast.

I did find a local, 120 hour , B21 that I am looking at this weekend, but its 24,000 ( including a trailer) still its too high. Maybe part of this pricing for these machines is the fact that they are looked at as being more of a commercial , heavier duty Kubota.

Would still like to hear from someone out here that owns a B21 or L35
