Have a B21 with a problem with bucket not tilting up and down.The lever will raise and lower boom but not tilt up or down.Just purchased machine. Feels solid when pushing lever left and right. Don’t want to force lever. Is it ok to spray something in valve area? Will take covers off and inspect. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

It should take about the same amount of force from the operator to curl or dump the bucket as it takes to raise and lower it. If it seems to take noticeably more force you may have a mechanical linkage issue. This would best be left to the shop if it's a new tractor rather than risk voiding the warranty.

You can spray PB Blaster on the spool and linkage, will not hurt anything.
Since the B21 was built from 2001-2007 there are no warranty issues to contend with.
Disconnect the linkage from the spool in the valve casting, see if your linkage works freely. If it does, the problem is in the valve. Try to turn the spool, if it turns but will not move in or out, you have a problem in the detent assembly on the other end. They can get moisture in them and rust.
