B20 Water in hydraulic oil

Somehow I got water in my hydraulic oil. It turned all white. Does any one know how to completely drain the system and how much oil it will take to refill it?

Drains should be located on the low points under the tractor near your final drives and also near the center of the tractor.

Make sure all implements are on the ground and pistons retracted as much as possible to maximize the drain.

Depending on how bad the water is, you can add a bunch of cheap "UDT compatible" fluid after the flush, run the machine and all implements, and then drain fluid and add quality KUBOTA Super UDT2 fluid.

My concern would be how the water got in there. So like Bulldog said. Go cheap first. keep eye on it to see if water gets in there again.

Was tractor outside in rain?

Is coolant level lower?

How did water or coolant get in there...... how to flush it all out..... here is a thread that might enlighten you

Thanks to all of you. I like the flush idea. I think water from heavy rain found its way into my spare fluid. It showed up right after I topped off the reservoir.

Be sure the breather(vent) hole isn't plugged. If hole is plugged moisture has no way to escape once hyd oil reaches operating temp.

I try to keep all the essential fluids under a roof, but i do have available space for that. As well as keeping machine indoors when not used.
As mentioned, a flush with less expensive fluid.
A very small amount of water will evaporate once oil heats up while working.

I just had the same problem. Did white foamy oil come out of the breather? Let me know please. Thanks

After this initial drain and re-fill cycle thru all functions multiple times because all the cylinders are going to hold the old fluid. depending on how bad it is you may be looking at 2 or 3 fluid and filter changes to clean it system out.

Any way you look at it this will be an expensive lesson learned.
