Maneuverability is a consideration as I sometimes mow around some tight areas. I'd also like the mid-PTO. And weight is a factor as I'd like to be able to haul it on my 7000# landscape trailer with the FEL and backhoe attached and have a good safety margin as well as have a little additional weight capacity.

I've started to consider the B2650 as well. Doesn't seem like it's all that heavier than the 2601, but I don't know yet. Won't be buying this year anyway.

Talked to a dealer just to get a ballpark idea. A B2601 with LA434 loader, 54" quick attach bucket, BH70 backhoe with 12" bucket, and 60" MMM, with all the discounts comes in around $27k. Definitely more than I want to spend right now, even factoring in the sale of my BX23. But I don't know, maybe next year.
I just purchased that exact same combo except I have a 5' RFM in lieu of the MMM. Came it right at 27K

I love the B2601. The B2650 was just little too tall for my hillsides.

Interesting observation about your feeling of the B2650 on the hills, thanks. I use mine on some steep terrain at times too, and that is a concern.

My BX23 feels pretty stable when mowing (no FEL or backhoe), and I mow some fairly steep hillsides. But with the FEL and backhoe, yeah, really has an uneasy feel to it at times, and it doesn't even have to be while on a hill. Roll a wheel into a small hole or depression and it can feel a little unstable.

Size matters is always a tough decision. Being very happy with my BX24 I purchased new in 09, I have been irked at myself a few times for not stepping up to a B series. I can confidently say a B series would have fit my needs because I do not transport it and I have enough space to store it.....two main questions many consider. But at this point I've added so many sized implements and all the optional goodies to my BX that I'd lose far too much in starting over again buying the larger implements, 3rd function valve and all that crap. So when you're considering.......think long term and weigh all the options.
