Max was hoping he would get to go for a ride in the trailer.

The start of "bewitching hour"

...it actually runs for about two hours 7:30 - 9:30 pm. Cody has been introduced to an e-collar.

The supervisor needed a bed for him and his toy. He doesn't want to miss out on anything.

That means Cody needs more exercise/stimulation during the day! ;)

At that age -- Geddy's time was 6-8pm, but he still had that "hour" even though he started running with Mom at 6 months or so......

At 3 years old, it's 6-6:30 (sometimes)......although he does run with Mom quite a lot still...

Yep. Really tough to do when he fractured his tarsal...he was on trazodone and gabapentin to keep him "calm".

Hopefully that injury is behind us for good at this point.

last evening on the wood pile again....

took him for a "wade" in the local creek. That really didn't go well. I'll need to get him to the lake soon.

Anyway, he gave my wife (who was in the back seat) this look on the way home. lol

Geddy rides in the back seat. At 96#, that's a good thing.

Recently had Mom and Geddy in the truck. Mom riding shotgun.

He acted confused that Mom was intervening on his "Dad" ride time.

He's a VERY happy guy, but he was a bitchin' Boxer..... ;)

I think this dog just happened to show up at the right time for a reason....
I know most of you older gentleman don't think the younger ones give a ****".
But my father in law had been living with us for 2 years while having cancer. He got the all clear last year and has spent the year in our cabin on our same property.
A couple weeks ago he learned it's came back... And if the 6 months of chemo doesn't work there's no more options, since he had all the other ones last time.
We went though this when my wife and I first met 19 years ago and her mom died from the same circumstances.

I'm sorry to hear this my brother. It's good to have a buddy to lean up against in rough times.... even if it's a four legged one.

Its an amazing thing what y'all are doing taking a loved one in like that. And I can relate.

Spring of 2018 I would end up having to move my mother in with us. She had lung cancer that ended up giving her brain cancer. The strongest person i had ever known that had cared for me and many others for so long needed the most care now more than ever. It was a major change.

Ended up bringing the wife home because it was obvious that mom did not need to be at home by herself. Stove burners left on, back doors open, water running etc.... At this point financially it didn't quite make sense (shes a NICU nurse i'm a grease monkey) but the shop was doing unusually well, like suspiciously well. So we kept our prayers strong, left it in the Lord's hands and kept on truckin'.

And if retiring the ole lady wasn't bad enough, March of 2019 I would get the opportunity to purchase a blueberry farm. With bills tight enough as it is and barely covering one mortgage, I figured I'd better acquire a second mortgage LOL.

Mom ended up passing a month later in April. It was very difficult to digest. Our spirits were crushed and all we could do was mourn. She was there when I came into this world, and I was right there with her when she left it. It was so hard to accept this.

The plandemic would stike and we would spend the next 18 months trying to sell our home in the city. 2 mortgages, 2 complete sets of bills, as normal week to week folks just trying to stay afloat.

But we kept our faith strong and prayed constantly as we are reminded in scripture to do so. Because in Matthew 5:4 we are told blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted because such as in Psalms 34:18 we are assured that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted because He rescues those who spirits are crushed.

So short story long, stay strong my brother, we know you give a ****. And maybe wonder how that dog just so happen to find you at this point in your life. May not be so coincidental.
