auto braking

Have a F2100 that used to stop when I lifted my foot from forward pedal but now wants to keep going unless I push down on reverse. Would appreciate help if someone knows what controls this. tks

Sounds like it is not returning to the home or neutral position.

There should be a grease fitting.
Check under to see if there is dirt or other objects blocking it.

You should be able t o move it by hand when the tractor is off and feel the position.
There should be a sprong or two.

The other part that controls that is the dampener.
Might need to replace that if it's binding or just wore out. ;)

LOL,, he was a pretty good old boy,, I just thought I would ask he used to work or maybe owned a junk yard back in the day,,,, the man could find you almost any thing you needed for your hot rod
