I just bought an LA402 and am getting ready to start work on attaching it to my B2710. This is my first tractor and after looking at messicks parts diagram I'm having a hard time visualizing where the hydraulics from the valve attach to the tractor. Is there just a port on the tractor that I take a cap off and attach the hydraulic line to? If anyone has any pictures of this attachment area on the tractor I would love to see it! Thanks in advance!

Did the block in the picture come with the loader?

If not you'll need to get it and the O-rings and fittings.
You will also need the fitting #010 too if you don't have that.

My LA402 was installed on my B2910 by the dealer when the tractor was purchased. They gave me a couple gray painted plates around a foot long and somewhat asymmetrical in shape as I recall. I want to think about 3/8" thick. Multiple holes for bolts.

Just mentioning this as you may have to remove these plates when you install the loader subframe on your B2710. I am pretty sure that was why they gave them to me. To have, I suppose, in the event I would remove the loader for whatever reason.

I can. I just figured if its just nuts and bolts it would be easy enough to do on my own?

Important Note...
When installing the return line 080/070 onto fitting 010 you will be in for a wet surprise if you have the hydraulic fluid all the way up on the transmission. Drain some off - not much, a couple of quarts, to ensure the fluid level is plug that's in the side of the transmission where fitting 010 is installed.

Also, note the hydraulic block 040 needs a clean surface to mate against. Buy some extra 050 washers while you are at it - first time around for me I managed to get a defective one with my new hydraulic block. Didn't notice it until it was installed and weeping oil. Turns out it had a very slight flat spot in it and wasn't taking compression between the block and the transmission housing. Lesson learned ... this big dummy has to install his GLASSES and INSPECT the parts before he tries to install them!:ROFLMAO:

Hmmmm.... I think my frame has those plates on it already.
I would expect it does. What I was trying to say was that those little plates must come off and be replaced by something else. Only going by the fact that they were given to me after the loader was installed at tractor purchase time.
