Are these hydraulic fittings interchangeable?

Can someone tell me if these 2 male hydraulic fittings are interchangeable?
My MX5400 rear remotes have Pioneer couplers. The male fitting is a Pioneer 8010-4 1/2-14 NPTF as seen on the left of the photo. The male fitting that came on the hydraulic hose of my Del Morino flail mower is a Stucchi-M-BIR12 BSP as seen on the right.
Using a mic they both appear to have the same dimensions although the Pioneer has a ball valve and the valve on the Stucchi does extend slightly more than the ball on the Pioneer.

Yes, the ball and poppet styles are interchangeable.

Allegedly they open a bit further providing better flow and reduced pressure drop.I am sure the difference is close to negligble but if given a choice....

Poppets have better flow and less leakage, both are negligible though. Yes they are interchangeable, but some wear may be seen on the ball from the tip of the poppet after repeated usage, many years of usage.

Is the shape of the valve in the female fitting the same for both ball and poppet male ends?
